K9 Memorials was started in 2001, after the loss of the owner's yellow lab, Goober. Bob looked for a memorial for his beloved pet, but was unable to find what he wanted. His work in a machine shop inspired him to create his own - and K9 Memorials was born.
In 2002, Bob adopted another yellow lab, Ace. After Ace's passing in the summer of 2015, Bob, along with his wife Sandi, decided to expand K9 Memorials to help others honor their own animals. Bob has three engineering degrees and over 30 years of experience in custom machining. He currently runs the family business, J&L Tool and Machine, which was founded in 1968.
Sandi has 20 years of experience in customer service, sales and marketing, which makes her the perfect compliment to Bob's technical skills.
They share a deep love of animals, and want to offer a way to help pet owners heal after the loss of their dog or cat. Each personalized, long-lasting memorial is custom made in Shelbyville, Indiana. It won't rust, chip, or fade, and will serve as a grave marker or memorial piece for years to come.
